Education in Life Compassionate Orphanage Home

We are currently engaged in a transformative Education Project designed to empower the children in its care through comprehensive educational support. This initiative provides academic tutoring, mentorship, and access to a wealth of learning resources, including a well-stocked library and digital tools. It also emphasizes the importance of extracurricular activities such as sports, arts, and music, fostering holistic development and confidence. Special attention is given to children with learning disabilities or special needs, ensuring they receive tailored support and therapy. The project actively involves the community and caregivers, offering workshops and training to better equip them in supporting the children's educational journeys. Recognizing the critical link between health and education, the project also integrates regular health check-ups and nutritious meals, coupled with health education.

The Education Project aims to break the cycle of poverty by creating a nurturing and enriching environment where children can thrive academically and personally. It seeks to ensure that every child not only completes their education but is also prepared for a successful and independent future, whether through higher education or vocational training.

Starting point

The first step to understand the scope of the project was to learn what shaped a child's learning experience in Obosi and to find out how we could make improvements.

Support from local communities

Location, scale, and accessibility was absolutely crucial to this project. We wanted to make the biggest but most realistic impact to the educational landscape in Haiti.

End result

Contextualizing the needs of Life compassionate school children, their sponsors, and their educators helped us to construct a well-equipped, bright, and accessible place of learning.
